If you still have your CDs in storage, dust them off and get yourself a CD player! There are tons of cheap brand new and used ones to get on Facebook Marketplace and Carousell. You can even just buy older CD/DVD writers and connect them to your laptop via USB.
CDs are cheaper compared to vinyl, and if you grew up in the 90s and 2000s you probably had more CDs than records anyway. Revisit them – you’d be surprised at how much of an effect the music of your youth has on you, and not just from an aural point of view but from a tactile one too. 💿
I know it’s out of fashion because of the whole minimalism movement, but it’s totally fine to OWN THINGS! Streaming made us all renters of stuff we consume that we have to pay for over and over.
